“May the earth rest lightly on you” endeavours to surpass the critical success attained by screenwriter-director Robert Kechichian’s previous feature film entitled Aram, released in 2002. Twenty years later, this new project involves the same principal character named Aram, now happily married, and settled in an Armenian village in the hillsides. One morning, 18 y.o. Noah, Aram’s son, found out his father’s ram and sheep killed by wolves. Aram, his shepherd and former fellow soldier Hovsep and Samvel, the village head, decide to follow up the wolves. During the hunt, Hovsep kills the pregnant female of Alpha Wolf ․ Alpha Wolf wants to revenge on those people. Aram and Noah take an old Soviet truck to search for a new herd.
